EI Towers partner of Internet of Things Observatory 2020/2021
On September 14th 2020, the Polytechnic has held IoT workshop at Milano University dedicated to the presentation of the Partner & Sponsor companies of the initiative, where EI Towers confirmed its participation as a Partner.
The Internet of Things Observatory was established in 2011 to address the growing interest expressed by the public and private sector in the potential of the new model known as the Internet of Things (IoT). In an environment where there is much uncertainty about the current state-of-the-art of IoT applications, the enabling benefits and the expected developments in the market, the Observatory will investigate the true opportunities of IoT from a combined technological and management perspective.
EI Towers is encouraging the growth of this market and has set up Nettrotter in 2015 with the aim of developing in Italy a network totally dedicated to IoT based on Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) Sigfox UNB technology.
Sigfox, as global cellular network operator Leader entirely dedicated to the Internet of Things, is rolling out the first global 0G network to take action on billions of broadcasting data objects, without the need to establish and maintain network connections, that is a unique approach of wireless connectivity in the world.
The application of this technology is potentially limitless: agriculture and environment, automotive, construction, consumer electronics, emergency services and safety, healthcare, smart buildings, manufacturing and purchasing, commercial and leisure activities, smart cities and public transport, utilities .
EI Towers and Nettrotter, thanks to this renewed partnership, will have the opportunity to deal with the main players operating in the IoT market with the aim of promoting LPWA Sigfox UNB technology and contributing to the development of the market itself.
